A romantic sunset sail is a perfect way to see brilliant stars, sunsets, full moons, and meteor showers.
This painting was done with a palette knife and the sea portion is coated with glass bead gel. It is very tactile.
To reach a port we must sail, sometimes with the wind, and sometimes against it. But we must not drift or lie at anchor.

I enjoy using iridescent and metallic colors. I also like using red. This painting satisfied both desires. I also used the palette knife for the background. Great fun!

We stand now where two roads diverge. But unlike the roads in Robert Frost's familiar poem, they are not equally fair. The road we have long been traveling is deceptively easy, a smooth superhighway on which we progress with great speed, but at its end lies disaster. The other fork of the road / the one less traveled by / offers our last, our only chance to reach a destination that assures the preservation of the earth.
